Xpat TDS
payment policy.

Where Indian TDS applied to a transfer from the USA, Xpat paid it to the Income Tax Department for the recipient instead of deducting it from what they received.

How it works

TDS paid by Xpat

On transfers where TDS applied, Xpat paid up to 1% TDS directly to the Indian Income Tax Department on the recipient’s behalf.

Claimed when filing

The recipient can claim that TDS in their income-tax return for the financial year of the transfer, as the tax laws allow.

New transfers

TDS doesn’t apply to new transfers; your recipient gets the full amount shown.
